Why Not Use Our Hosting?

Finding a reliable cryptocurrency mining partner is not an easy task. Unfortunately, there are still countless scammers, unreliable companies, and problematic suppliers that cause significant issues for customers.

Let’s take a look at the common issues our customers have faced while trying to place their miners and the advantages of hosting with us in Prague.

1. Price Uncertainty on InvoicesSome hosting companies offer very attractive conditions, which they include in the contract for the placement and management of mining equipment. Often, these contracts state that after the first few months, they can decide to adjust the electricity price and hosting fee. In such a case, the client can terminate the contract but at their own expense, they must arrange for the removal of the device from the hosting center and find a new location. Meanwhile, the machine is not mining, and the ROI takes longer. Additionally, they must consider the costs of transporting the device to another location, paying installation fees again, and so on.
   We certainly recommend thoroughly reviewing the contract and its terms before choosing hosting for your machine, even if they are written in a foreign language. This is especially important if you plan to purchase a mining device from the same hosting center. It happens that the company does not specify the warranty length for the supplied mining device in the contract.
2. Hosting in Remote Locations                                                                                                    Hosting companies often offer to place machines in remote locations, away from civilization, promising the cheapest possible electricity prices, which significantly saves the client’s mining costs.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    While the promise of cheap electricity sounds tempting, it is not the only factor that should decide when choosing a hosting service. Besides cheaper energy, you will pay for other services. Placing machines in remote destinations involves high transportation costs, customs duties, or taxes in individual destination countries, and subsequently the installation of the machine in the data center. Overall, the journey of your machine, for example, to Guatemala can become more expensive by several tens of thousands of czech crowns, and you haven’t even started mining yet. With each day your machine is on the way and not mining, the return on your investment is extended. With us, you pay more for consumed energy, but our data center is directly in Prague, so you don’t have to pay for machine transport, customs, taxes, local fees, and we also don’t charge anything for installation and placement of the machine. 3. Mining on the Machine for the Hosting Center Instead of the Client                                            Our clients often complain that their machines had frequent breakdowns in remote locations and, as a result, did not mine for weeks or even months. Repairs took forever and cost them additional fees for service and new components. It also often happened that clients brought us their machines after ending their previous hosting, and we looked into their mining records. In many cases, we found that during the alleged outage and malfunction, their machine continued to mine but not to the client’s wallet. The hosting center had set the mining to their wallet while the client’s machine was supposed to be under repair.                                                              In our hosting center, repairs do not take forever, and the client can stop by anytime to check the status of their machine. We always consult repairs with the client first and then proceed according to their preferences.
4. Instability of Developing Countries
   

Hosting machines in remote locations and developing countries often carries hidden risks in the form of sudden political changes, natural disasters, and frequent infrastructure problems. For example, we can take a look at Kazakhstan, which in January 2022, completely banned and disconnected miners from the internet and electricity because the power grid was overloaded by mining, causing constant power outages for people in the cities.

Another example can be Paraguay and Venezuela, where laws banning cryptocurrency mining are being approved, and government officials are already conducting raids on hosting centers to confiscate mining equipment and infrastructure. In the summer of 2024, the Venezuelan state confiscated 2,000 ASIC miners in the city of Maracay, while Paraguay seized 2,738 units in Salto del Guairá.

Hosting in developed countries, such as Texas, is also not as reliable as marketing might suggest. Besides summer heat waves, during which the state disconnects miners from the grid to prevent infrastructure overheating, and winter storms causing extensive power outages, hosting centers face a range of their own problems with the internet, electrical wiring, equipment fires, etc. Just look at the official websites of these providers, where they themselves report constant outages and suspensions of mining operations.

 

Finding a reliable hosting center for cryptocurrency mining with cheap electricity is becoming increasingly difficult. In the text above, we pointed out the problems our clients encountered during their efforts to place their machines and mine. The problems they faced are numerous, and we couldn’t list them all as this article would be excessively long.

As the cryptocurrency season approaches and rates gradually rise, more and more fraudsters will appear, wanting to take advantage of the increased interest from clients. Therefore, we recommend checking the supplier, the offer, and in the case of hosting, the contract before every investment. It is essential not to be lured by offers that seem too good to be true and always better to get a second opinion from someone who is at least somewhat familiar with the cryptocurrency space.
